Escanaba in da Moonlight

The Fine Arts Society of Detroit bring their live theater production of Jeff Daniels’ hilarious comedy “Escanaba in da Moonlight” to the Cheboygan Opera House for one night only!

Learn about the bizarre hunting traditions of the Escanaba, Michigan area. Be prepared to hear Yooper (Upper Peninsula) accents, slang, jokes and references! This play, originally written by Jeff Daniels (of Dumb and Dumber), was adapted into the classic 2001 comedy film Escanaba in da Moonlight.

The Fine Arts Society of Detroit (FASD) was established in 1906 to bring together professional and amateur lovers of the arts. Members first met in their homes, then in local Detroit theaters such as the Gem and the Arts and Crafts Theater. With the construction of the Players Playhouse in 1926 on East Jefferson Avenue, FASD found a permanent home for presentation of theatrical productions.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for students.
